The trip was to familiarize students with books of all kinds and to encourage them to extract different information from sources by skimming and scanning . Well-planned interactive activities were designed before the actual event. The students worked in groups and pairs to accomplish various skill improving tasks and verbal feedback followed each activity.
Students fully enjoyed the experience and learnt the usefulness of a bookstore. They were also encouraged to buy books of special interest to them for their extensive reading.
